Coaching is not a small version of SaaS. Most agencies never learned the difference.

They run the playbook built for software. Volume, ad spend, funnels, a monthly report full of impressions. It fails on a coaching practice for structural reasons, not effort. This page explains them, and publishes what we do instead.

No retainer to read this. Everything here is public on purpose.

The five failures, and what each one changed.

  • 01The report showed impressions — so we report what died, in writing, every fortnight
  • 02The leads wanted free things — so we stopped running ads entirely
  • 03The claims could not be proven — so nothing goes out that we cannot evidence
  • 04The meetings did not convert — so we now coach the sales call on request
  • 05The market had no gap — so we map it free, before anyone signs

Every rule on this page came from something that went wrong. None of it was theory.

The five month cycle. We hear this version of it constantly

  • Month oneA discovery call about goals, then a contract. Nobody asks what you actually sell, who signs off on it, or who else is already saying your sentence.
  • Month twoAds go live. Leads arrive. Course buyers, students, people who wanted a free PDF.
  • Month threeThe report shows reach, impressions and cost per lead. Not one conversation with someone who could hire you.
  • Month fourYou are told it needs more budget and more time. Both true statements about the wrong system.
  • Month fiveYou stop. The leads stop the same day. You own nothing you did not have in January.

That is not a failure of effort. It is what happens when a playbook built for a low priced product with a short cycle gets applied to a high value service bought on judgment.

Why the paid playbook fails here.

01

Nobody is shopping for a coach

People do not browse for this the way they browse for software. Something triggers their awareness and then they decide to search for the solution. Ads cannot create that trigger. They can only sit there waiting for it, and nobody can afford to wait indefinitely.

02

The cycle outlasts the campaign

Ads get judged in weeks. The decision takes months. The campaign dies before the thing it started has finished happening.

03

Attention stops when the card does

Pause paid media and you return to zero holding nothing reusable. Outreach and content leave lists, sequences, positioning and a body of work behind. And it is much more affordable and stable.

04

An ad carries a claim, not judgment

What someone buys is how you think. That shows in a paragraph or a question that names something they had not put into words. Repetition cannot manufacture it.

The economics, plainly.

Paid mediaOutreach and owned content
What you buyImpressionsConversations
Media cost per lead300 to 600 USD, published B2B cold rangesZero
Who arrivesWhoever the algorithm matchedThe exact person you chose
Month six versus month oneThe same, or worseCheaper, because the system has learned
What remains when you stopNothingPositioning, lists, sequences, content, profile
SuitsShort cycles, high volume, low priceLong cycles, low volume, high value

We have run both. The ads worked, in the sense that leads arrived. They were people who wanted a free PDF. That is the month we stopped, and we have not spent on ads since.

Not an argument that ads never work. An argument that they are the wrong first move at your price point and your volume.

The questions nobody asked you.

If your last agency skipped most of these, that is the whole story.

What is working, and what is not?

Your read first, before ours. It usually names the problem faster than an audit would.

What is the biggest roadblock right now?

Most coaches already know. Very few have been asked.

How are sales coming, and how long is the cycle?

The cycle length decides everything about what we build and when we guarantee anything.

Who does your content, and out of ten, how happy are you with the results?

The number matters less than the gap between it and what you expected.

How many people reach out purely because of your content?

If the answer is none, content is not your problem yet.

How satisfied have people been with your delivery?

We are not building a pipeline into a programme that disappoints. That fails slower and hurts more.

What is the common friction when a buyer shows up on a call?

Same objection every time, usually. That objection is the copy you have not written.

What stops people from getting on a call with you at all?

The gap between interest and a booking is where most practices lose the year.

How do non-referral leads behave, and how hard are they to convert?

Referrals arrive pre-sold. Cold does not. If you have never worked a cold lead, we need to know before we send you nine of them.

Nine questions, and we ask them all before anyone signs anything, because the answers decide whether we can help you.

Thirty minutes. We ask, you answer, we tell you what we would do.

Coaching is the only industry we serve.

Most agencies serve SaaS and ecommerce, where the budgets are, and take coaching clients on the side. You get the leftovers of a system designed for someone else. Specialisation produces specifics, not slogans.

SpecialisationWhat it means in practice
Four buyer mapsWho signs off in Dallas is not who signs off in Dubai. Titles, approval chains and thresholds differ in each.
Budget cyclesWe know which quarter L&D budgets reset in the US, the UK, Australia and MENA.
Tested anglesMessage and content angles proven against real coaching audiences, not adapted from a software campaign.
NLP certifiedOur writing names a pattern someone recognises in themselves. That is a construction with a method behind it, which is why it repeats rather than getting lucky. The same discipline you use in a session.
We have been the clientWe took a coach’s programme end to end to understand what we were selling.

Two builds, because coaches split two ways.

The question is not what you sell. It is whether you want to be visible.

Same standard underneath. We will tell you which one on the call, and sometimes the answer is neither yet.

The standard we hold ourselves to.

  • Nothing untrue goes out. No borrowed statistics, no invented credentials, no claim we cannot evidence. When a client had no proof at all, we took their programme ourselves and became their first real testimonial rather than write them a fake one.
  • Your voice comes from a transcript. One recorded hour. If it does not sound like you, it does not send.
  • Every asset is yours from the day it is made. Not on exit. Not on request.
  • We report what died. In writing, every fortnight, with the angle we are killing named.
  • We say no when the answer is no. Including when we map a market, find it saturated, and tell you rather than take the work.
  • Volume never exceeds what protects your account. Your name is the only irreplaceable thing here.

How you hold us to it.

A standard nobody is accountable to is a brochure.

  • In writingNine qualified conversations a quarter, from month three.
  • If we miss itNot a refund, not a credit. We keep going at no charge until the number is booked.
  • TimingWe guarantee only once your data exists. Month three with full certainty, not day one. A promise made before we know your market is a guess, and you have been sold one already that failed.
  • No lock inWalk at the review window, any reason, no penalty.
  • Either wayYou keep everything. Leave at month four and you still own what we built.
  • CapacityWe take a small number of coaches at a time. When it is full, we say so and tell you when the next opening is.
Nine conversations, or we work free.

What a retainer chaser will not tell you.

That your positioning is the problem, not your reach.

Sometimes the answer is to spend nothing with us for six weeks and fix what you sell.

That your market is too crowded at this angle.

It has happened. We said so on the call and did not take the money.

That the meetings are landing and you are losing them.

We ran a campaign where exactly that happened. The coach could not close the call. We had done our half and it was not good enough, so sales conversation coaching became part of every engagement upon request.

That you are not ready.

No hour a week, no 48 hour turnaround, no engagement. We will say so on the first call.

What we do not do.

  • We do not run ads. Explained above. If you reach a stage where paid makes sense, we will tell you and point you to someone who does it properly.
  • We do not write claims you cannot back. Including when you ask us to.
  • We do not take two coaches in the same niche and market. If we are running yours, we are not running your competitor’s.
  • We do not buy followers or use engagement pods. Neither.
  • We do not hold your accounts hostage. Everything is in your name from day one.

Questions people ask.

Why believe any of this after last time?

You should not, on the strength of a page. Take the free report instead. No call, results on 48 hours, and it will tell you more about how we think than any testimonial.

Do you run ads at all?

No. Not a rule against them, but they are the wrong first move at your price point and volume.

I am not ready to commit.

Then do not. The free report requires no call, and there is no sequence attached to it.

Are you actually specialists?

Coaching is the only industry we serve. Ask us about L&D budget cycles in Riyadh, or why a follower count full of coaches produces no clients.

How is this different from the service pages?

Those explain what happens. This explains why it is built that way and what happens if we fail.

What does NLP have to do with marketing?

Our writing names a pattern someone recognises in themselves before any offer appears. Certification is why that repeats.

Which build is right for me?

If you would rather not be visible, the Signal Engine. If you want the audience, the Recognition System. If you are unsure, that is a five minute call.

What if you tell me no?

Then you keep the free report and lose nothing. That outcome is more common than you would expect from an agency page.

Start with the part that costs nothing.

We map who is already competing for your buyers and where the space is. Built by hand, 48 hours, no call required.
